SMALL-GROUPS FAQ

ARE ALL SMALL-GROUPS THE SAME?

Yes and no. All of our groups follow the same schedule and format. However, each group is unique. Some groups are geared around young families. Others are designed for people in college. We have groups for people getting started in their career and groups for people who are retired. There’s a Small-Group for just about anyone.

HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT SMALL-GROUP?

There are a few ways you can find the right group. We recommend contacting Small-Group leaders, visiting different groups to see what fits, or contacting our Small-Group Director, David Brower, at 410-987-3021 or david@severn.cc. Our desire is to help you find a Small-Group that’s the right fit for you.

WHEN CAN I JOIN A SMALL-GROUP?

The start of either our fall or spring small-group semesters is a great time to join a Small-Group; however, you can join, stop by, or visit a Small-Group at anytime during the semester. Prior to visiting a Small-Group, be sure to email or call the leader to let them know you’re coming.

WHO CAN ATTEND A SMALL-GROUP?

We encourage everyone to attend a Small-Group. These groups are comprised of people from all walks of life. We are convinced that no matter where you are in life, our Small-Groups are a place where you grow as as a follower of Jesus as you grow together in community with other believers.

WHAT IS “GROUP IN A BOX”?

“Group in a Box” is a simple way for anyone to form their own group. It’s basically a small-group starter kit. All you have to do is grab a box, grab some friends and start a group! When you register for a box not only do you get all the resources in the box but you will also receive a weekly email with discussion questions for you and your friends to discuss the previous weekend’s sermon. If you are interested in forming a group you can ‘click here’ and register for your own box.
