INDOOR GATHERINGS

Since the start of the pandemic, our leadership team has strived to make decision that allow us to provide the best possible church gatherings while honoring both state and local safety guidelines.  During Stage 1 when in-person gatherings were not possible, we offered online services.  When Stage 2 began and restrictions were lifted, we started offering both in-person and online options. This is when we launched Church in the Open; our first ever outdoor worship gatherings.  These in-person, outdoor services offered people in our church and our community a vital opportunity to gather together during a time when options to do so were extremely limited.   During Stage 3 we began gathering indoors at limited capacity.  Through each phase of the pandemic, it has always been our intent to provide you with the best possible church service while honoring state and local safety protocols. In keeping with that, we are responding the Governor Larry Hogan’s decision to lift all physical distancing restrictions and mask requirements with the only exceptions being in school and daycare settings, public transportation and medical care settings.

Beginning Sunday, May 16, we will will have increased seating capacity and face coverings will be optional at our facilities with one exception. That exception comes as a result of our desire to continue following the guidance of state and local government officials, as has been the case since the beginning of the pandemic. What this means is that we are asking that all children ages 5 and older and all Severn KiDS volunteers wear a face covering while in our classroom settings.
