>>Is there a God? What is he like? Why am I here?<<

>>How should I live? What can I do to grow?<<

If you’ve ever asked these questions, Renew is designed to help you discover how Christianity answers them and more.

What is Renew?

Severn Covenant Church exists to see lives transformed by Jesus. One of the main ways that Jesus accomplishes this transformation is through something that Scripture calls “the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2). In other words, we need to learn truth in our minds in order to believe it in our hearts and practice it in our lives! That’s why Jesus calls His followers “disciples” – they are students and He is the Teacher. His teachings are now contained for us in the Bible and we learn them, not only by reading and studying the Bible alone, but by hearing it explained, applied, and discussed in the context of the church alongside other disciples. Renew is just one more way that we seek to facilitate this learning process in order to see people’s live continually transformed by Jesus. More specifically, it’s a process designed for people to learn and apply the core beliefs and practices that Christians have considered essential to following Jesus ever since the church began.

Who is Renew for?

The short answer is: everyone! Whether you are completely new to the Christian faith (and maybe even still exploring your options) or just want to renew and refresh your understanding, there’s something here for you!

How does Renew work?
