The Calling
It’s that time of year. Gym memberships are on the rise, new commitments are being made, problems are being confronted with well intended plans, and new habits are on the horizon–at least we hope. Unfortunately, by the time the final seconds tick off the clock of 2015, more than 90 percent of all resolutions will have been abandoned. Which begs the question: what if there was a resolution worth making; a resolution that won’t fail?

The Plan
The formulation of a plan is essential in pursuing a goal, as a vision without a plan may never amount to anything more than a mere fantasy.  If plans are so important, what should drive them and how should they be formulated?

The Obstacles
Anyone who has ever set out to reach a goal understands the concept of obstacles. More importantly, however, may be our ability to pinpoint the kinds of obstacles that prevent us from accomplishing what we set out to do. Whether internal or external, the obstacles we face must be overcome if we are to accomplish our mission.

Follow Through
The success of any mission is highly contingent upon the ongoing commitment of the people committed to the task at hand.  Following through, though easy to articulate, is difficult to accomplish.  Whether, distractions from the goal, confusion about the mission, or temptations to quit, follow through is what gets the job done.
