It’s summer and we’re ready to start hosting outdoor gatherings. On select Sundays in July, August, and September we’re planning to gather together outdoors to worship, hear a message, put the life-transforming power of Jesus on display through baptism, and eat together.  Mark your calendar for July 27, August 29 and September 26. FAQ

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
  • GATHERING FOR WORSHIP AND A MESSAGE
      • The worship and message portion of our gathering will start at 10 AM.  Baptisms will take place at the end of the service and after that we will gather as a church family to eat and connect.
      • If you can’t attend for any reason, our service will also be live streamed at 10 AM on Sundays through the following outlets:
  • GATHERING TO EAT
      • Eating together builds community in a way that nothing else does.  This is why we will be gathering together to eat at each of our 3 outdoor gatherings.
      • Typically, we will provide the entrée (things like grilled meats, burgers, hot dogs, fried chicken), water, and paper goods.  We are asking you to bring any sides, sweets, or other drinks or food items you want to enjoy or share with your immediate friends and family.  
 
  • SEATING
      • Bring your own blanket/lawn chairs. We recommend bringing an umbrella for shade.  
      • A limited number of picnic tables and beach umbrellas will be available.
  • BATHROOMS
      • The church building will be open for bathroom use.
  • WORSHIP
      • Our typical approach of projecting the worship lyrics on a screen will not be possible. Because of that, we will be making all  worship lyrics available to you the morning of the service. You will be able to get all the lyrics by texting the word “WORSHIP” to (410) 618-0869.

WILL THERE BE SOMETHING FOR MY KIDS?
  • Infants and Toddlers will be expected to stay with their parents for the service.
  • Classrooms for children age 3 through 5th grade will be available indoors.
  • Kids check-in opens at 9:30 AM.
  • Children should not bring any personal items, toys, stuffed animals, etc. with them.
  • In the event your child needs to use the restroom, you will be contacted via a text message requesting you pick-up your child and help them to the restroom.
  • If you cannot attend in-person, online options for Severn Kids are available on Sundays at 9 AM and are available on-demand HERE.
 
HOW CAN I INVITE PEOPLE?
 
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER?
  • In the event of inclement weather, our gathering will be moved indoors and will not include a meal.  
  • Changes to our gathering location will be communicated through our website, The Severn App, and our social media outlets.
